【Channel新聞】：金曲重生 風采再現 The Platters及貓王經典旋律響徹亞洲國際博覽館
談到《Only You》、《Smoke Gets In Your Eyes》、《Love Me Tender》等經典樂曲，大家想起什麼？想起昔日貓王Elvis Presley與The Platters的巨星風姿，想起難得一遇的動人旋律，還是心底裡湧起揮之不去的成長回憶？時光飛逝，物轉星移，但美麗回憶卻歷久常新，永恒動聽。儘管現在我們無法再一睹原唱者的風采，但即將有機會見證金曲重生的精彩時刻。
贏得「全美最出色翻唱樂隊」美譽的Golden Sounds of the Platters樂隊，與「美國貓王致敬大獎」冠軍得主Johnny Thompson將於5月13日遠道來港，破天荒首度在亞洲國際博覽館舉行演唱會，唱盡五、六十年代膾炙人口的英文金曲。當中少不了《Only You》、《Smoke Gets In Your Eyes》、《The Great Pretender》、《Love Me Tender》、《Can’t Help Falling In Love》、《Twilight Time》、《Remember When》、《The Magic Touch》和《My Prayer》等名曲，讓大家重拾昔日無盡回憶，共度溫暖感動的晚上。
Golden Sounds of the Platters樂隊以完美和音及別樹一幟的演唱風格見稱，主音歌手Eddie Stovall是唯一跟元老級Platters成員Tony Williams合作過、至今仍活躍樂壇的歌手。Johnny Thompson則被公認為最神似貓王的翻唱藝人，被喻為「貓王轉世」。參與世界巡迴演唱會前，Johnny在拉斯維加斯唱足15年，經驗豐富。
